Kinesiology Tape - How to Cut
These are main ways to cut Kinesio Tape
Each type of shape cutting suits different parts of the body and to assist in better outcomes for either healing, support or minimising injury
I - Shape
- Used on larger muscles such as Hamstrings and back areas
V - Shape
- Commonly used in joints areas such as Knees
X - Shape
- Commonly used in joints areas such as Elbows
Y - Shape
- Commonly used in joints areas
Step 1. Measure and cut tape to required length. Grid Lines will assist you to cut straight
Step 2. Use scissors to cut corners round. This will stop edges lifting
Step 3. Break tape apart as shown in photo about 3-4cm from the starting end
