RIGID STRAPPING TAPE
Is a strong supportive tape that is used to stabilise joints during vigorous physical activity in all sorts of conditions and sports activities. With specialised taping it is highly effective in the preventative of injuries as well as for rehabilitation when injured
Rigid tape is commonly a skin/flesh colour made from rayon (but can be white) with serrated edges for easy tearing to size strips. The tape has a sturdy robustness that limits movement for particularly joints, ligaments and tendons.
Rigid tape is made from a Zinc Oxide rubber adhesive and can sometimes cause skin irritations.
It is always wise to test on the skin before use and some skins are sensitive to the adhesive as well as irritation from regular removal and reapplying
Fixation tape is often used in conjunction with Rigid strapping tape (See also our Fixation Tape)
IMPORTANT: For best results seek on strapping advice from a physiotherapist for the most effective strapping techniques if you’re unsure.
